Emily Sabatini

Emily (Geerson) Sabatini, beloved mother and grandmother passed away August 7,2024, surrounded by her loving family. Emily was 79 years old born in Queens, NY on November 4, 1944.

Emily did not have an easy upbringing, she grew up in a group home and did not finish school. When she was a young adult, she moved to Dobbs Ferry and worked in the local diner and then worked in Shopwell in Scarsdale, NY as a meat wrapper when she met the love of her life Joseph who was a butcher in the same store. They married on September 10, 1967 and wasted no time to have kids. They originally lived in Pelham, NY and moved to Elmsford in 1974.

Emily enjoyed taking care of and surrounding herself with children. She worked at the Grady school in the cafeteria for a few years then she was a caretaker for many kids that lived in the neighborhood. Emily liked to knit listen to her records and just spend time with her family. She liked to do arts and crafts and make scrapbooks of her kids when they were babies.

She is survived by her younger brother Edward Geerson, her daughter Denise, her son Joseph Jr, daughter Deborah, her son-in-law Scott and her beautiful granddaughter Gabriella.
