Emily C. McKechnie

Emily C. McKechnie, 80, of Valhalla, NY and formerly of White Plains, NY. Died on March 13, 2004 at White Plains Hospital Center. Emily was born on January 27, 1924 to William and Lillian ( nee Valentine) Craft in Mt. Vernon, NY. She graduated from White Plains High School Class of 1942. Mrs. McKechnie worked for the New York Railroad in New York City and after retiring she worked for Union Carbide. Emily was a member of the Valhalla United Methodist Church for over 50 years and was a member of the Bell Choir. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Pleasantside Chapter and the Amarath Assoc. Mrs. McKechnie is predeceased by her husband Robert H. McKechnie in 1963 and one brother William Craft. Emily is survived by one Niece Lillian LaRue of Sobeiski, WI, and one nephew Eric Craft of Port St. Lucie, FL. and many friends. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
