Emily C. Fumagalli 98, a longtime resident of White Plains, N.Y. and formerly of Mt.Vernon and Eastchester, N.Y. died on Dec.13, 2011. She was born on Jan. 12, 1913 to the late Joseph and Annunziata Covino in Mt.Vernon, N.Y. Emily was a Senior Clerk for the local lines of the New York Telephone Company in New Rochelle, N.Y. from 1930-1944. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Frank Fumagalli in 1976, and by her sisters, Mary Covino Freeman and Gilda Covino Smith and by her brothers, Alfred, Guido and Nicholas Covino and her granddaughter, Jennifer A. Erland in 2010. Emily is survived by her loving children, Clare L. Erland and Frank J. Fumagalli as well as her two grandsons Bryan and Brendan Fumagalli and her sister, Madeline Adimari. Also survived by her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Emily loved her Yankees, the television show "How to be a Millionaire" and all the entertaining she and her late husband did for their extended family. She will be remembered for her great love and devotion to her family and for her reading of the daily newspapers where she fed her interest in finance, politics and curent events.
