Elvira Di Nota 91, of White Plains, N.Y. died on Jan.1, 2018 at her residence. She was born on Oct.13, 1926 to the late Luigi and Marzia Savarese in Sorrento, Italy. Elvira was a retired Chef with Westchester Premier Theatre in Tarrytown, N.Y. and later at the San Roc Caterers in Hastings, N.Y. She was a member of Antonio Meuci Lodge # 213 in White Plains, N.Y. where she enjoyed cooking at the lodge. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Vincent Di Nota in 1989 and by one son, Gennaro Di Nota in 1966 and one sister in Italy. She is survived by her one loving son, Luigi (Flavia) Di Nota of Hawthorne, N.Y. and her two cherished grandchildren, Elvira and Vincent (Jennifer) Di Nota and her four great grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas and Jeffrey Gonyo and Leo Di Nota. Also survived by one sister and four brothers in Italy. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, (today) 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Thursday, 10 AM. Entombment, Ferncliff Mausoleum, Hartsdale, N.Y.
