Elvira D'Arrigo

Elvira D’Arrigo 91, of Valhalla, N.Y. and formerly of Pleasantville, N.Y. died on June 29,2017. She was born on June 5,1926 to the late Ciro and Assunta (nee Albano) Goscione in Brooklyn, N.Y.  Elvira was a retired Supervisor in the mail center for Readers Digest in Chappaqua, N.Y.  She was a member of the Pleasant Seniors of Mt.Pleasant.  Affectionately known as Nana. Elvira was predeceased by her devoted husband, Dominick M. D’Arrigo in 2013 and deceased son in law, Anthony. She is survived by her loving daughters, Lorraine (David Lopez) Calebrese of Patterson, N.Y., Deborah Hoffer of Thornwood, N.Y. and Cheryl (Greto) D’Arrigo of Valhalla, N.Y. also survived by her six cherished grandchildren, Candace Calebrese, Jason ( Stephanie) Calebrese, Adam (Chief US Navy) (Maria) Hoffer, Ashley Hoffer, Nicholas and Brianna Greto. and five great grandchildren, Toni Anne and James Munoz, Olive, Harvey Jane Calebrese and Ariana Hoffer.  Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday, 3-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Innocents Church, Pleasantville, N.Y. on Monday, 10 AM. Entombment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.  In lieu of flowers donations to either, American Cancer Society RFL Patterson 121 Executive Drive New Windsor, N.Y. 12553 or Alzheimers Association would be appreciated.
