Elizabeth Carroll

Elizabeth Carroll 85, of Thornwood, N.Y. died on June 17, 2011. She was born on Oct. 4, 1925 to the late Robert and Elizabeth Hooper in NYC. She was a member of the Thornwood Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, Rosary Altar Society of Holy Rosary Church, Columbiettes St.Dominic Council, Thornwood, N.Y. and The Mt. Pleasant Seniors. Elizabeth was predeceased by her devoted husband James Carroll in 1973, of which Carroll Park in Thornwood, N.Y. was named after. She is survived by her loving children; Robert (Dorothy) Carroll of Thornwood, N.Y., Richard (Peggy) Carroll of Fishkill, N.Y., James (Karen) Carroll of Thornwood, N.Y., Diane (John) Breslin of Vero Beach, Fla. and Beth Melagrano of Thornwood, N.Y. one sister, Dorothea Cotter of Fishkill, N.Y. Also survived by her fourteen cherished grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Wednesday 10 AM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to ones favorite charity would be appreciated.
