Elena Paola passed away surrounded by her loving daughter and two granddaughters on Monday, August 16th at the age of 86. Elena was born on September 24th, 1934 in the beautiful town of Paolisi, Italy. She married the love of her life, (predeceased) Tommaso Paola, in 1958, in Pompei, Italy. They had their son (predeceased) Giuseppe Paola and daughter Rosalba (Paola) Carrea.
Elena adored her granddaughters Vanessa and Gabriella and cherished all of her time with them. She was a compassionate, loving, and selfless woman, always considering everyone’s needs before her own. She proudly worked at Schulman, Fontana, and Saks Fifth Avenue as a seamstress, as she constantly amazed everyone with her extraordinary skills. She also enjoyed the outdoors and gardening.
Never did she fail to cook the most delicious foods and desserts for Sunday lunch, Christmas, and everything in between, as this was most evident in her pasta and tomato sauce. Always did she welcome everyone into her house with open arms. She took pride in how she presented herself, always impeccable and dressed to the nines.
She is survived by her daughter Rosalba, granddaughters Vanessa and Gabriella, immediate family in Italy and the United States, nieces, nephews, and several grand nieces and nephews.
She will be deeply missed, loved, and forever in our hearts.
