Elaine Bowerman

Elaine Bowerman of Larchmont, NY died peacefully on February 10, 2015. She was 92 years old. Elaine was born Elaine Kolesar in Brezno, Czechoslovakia, daughter of the late Mary and Michael Kolesar. She married Robert P. Bowerman on Sept. 4, 1942 in Nutley, NJ. They were married 62 years. Her husband predeceased her in 2004. Elaine is survived by her daughter Susan (Emilio) Martin, and sons Peter (Martha) Bowerman and Michael (Nancy) Bowerman. She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Marisa (Tony) Prinzo, Michael S. Bowerman, Kristin (Poli) Curanaj, and Captain Ryan Martin. Elaine was a great grandmother to Ryder, Alayna, and Jax. Elaine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all. The family will receive friends from 4pm to 8pm at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 72 East Main Street, Elmsford, NY on Saturday, February 14, 2015. In lieu of flowers, friends may donate in Elaine's memory to Bethel Nursing and Rehab Center, 67 Springvale Road, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520.
