Elaine Bonner was born on October 12, 1924 to Marguirite Gentile Bier, and Clarence Bier in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was educated in the Pittsburgh school system. Elaine married Jon Micheaux and had two sons, Jon and Jan. They eventually moved to Westchester County, New York to live. Jon Micheaux has predeceased her. Elaine Bonner married James Bonner on June 5, 1980 in Mamaroneck, New York. James Bonner is the owner of Bonner Tree Service in White Plains, New York. She had a beautiful enriched and loving life with him. Elaine worked at Bambace Insurance Company for 27 years in Port Chester, New York as an insurance secretary. When she retired, she volunteered at the Harrison Public Library for several years. Elaine Bonner was a dedicated, giving, and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Spending time with family was the highlight of her life, especially gathering for the Christmas holidays. She enjoyed entertaining her family and friends at their home. Elaine and Jim took pleasure in traveling to summer spots in Florida, Long Island and Cape Cod beaches. She also liked playing board games with the grandchildren. Elaine Bonner was an excellent Scrabble player. Elaine loved Yankee baseball. She was an avid reader. Having a massive book collection, she was never without a book; one of her favorites was Every Living Thing by James Herriot. Another was the classic Sherlock Holmes. She loved to watch nostalgic movies from several different time periods, and relished going to current movies with friends and her family. Elaine Bonner died suddenly on Sunday, April 15, 2007 at home with her husband, James. She leaves to mourn her loss: her husband, James Bonner; her brother, Raymond Bier; her two loving sons, Jon Micheaux and Jan Micheaux; one daughter-in-law, Anita Schwartz-Micheaux; one grandson, Jan-Pierre Micheaux and Jan-Pierre's sister Rachel; and two granddaughters, Janet Micheaux and Josephine Schwartz; her niece, Lori Bier and her nephew, David Bier; and Rhonda Taylor, Jan-Pierre's mother and a host of family and friends.

Interment will follow at Kenisco Cemetery in Valhalla, New York.
