Eileen (Lucier) Whitney of Putnam Valley, N.Y., passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at the age of 73. She is survived by her loving husband, Victor, and daughter Vanessa Whitney. Her daughter Rebecca Donnelly predeceased her. Other survivors include two brothers, James and John Lucier, and a sister, Rita Markel; her son-in-law, Philip Donnelly, and five grandchildren: Stephen Fetterusso-Whitney, Brian and Elizabeth Faulkner and Sara and Benjamin Donnelly. Active in numerous organizations, Eileen was a former president of the Color Camera Club of Westchester, a judge with the American Daffodil Society, a volunteer with the LDS Family History Library and a Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener. Eileen was born March 12, 1943, in Elkton, MD. She enjoyed traveling the world and was formerly employed by the city of White Plains and, more recently, Hamilton Research Ltd. (Tarrytown). In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Eileen's name to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation (donations accepted through their website, alzinfo.org). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 17th at 11am at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue at South Broadway, White Plains, NY.
