Born December 29, 1932, Eileen joined her family in Heaven on November 2, 2012, All Souls Day. Eileen was pre-deceased by her beloved parents Richard and Helen Green of County Waterford and the Bronx and her brother Richard of the Bronx and Long Island. Eileen is fondly remembered and greatly missed by her nephew Thomas R. Green of New Haven, CT; her niece and god-daughter Patricia and her husband Joseph Negro of New Haven; her niece and god-daughter Julie and her husband David Allin of Oxford, NJ; her niece Mary and her husband Ray Laracuente of Forest hills, Queens, NY; sister-in-law Catherine Green of Lakewood, NJ; cousin Gerard Green and his wife Ellen of Fort Hill, SC; and eleven beloved grand-nieces and grand-nephews: Carl, Mary, Christopher, and Michael Negro; Zachary, Nicholas, and Timothy Allin; Genna and Ricky Laracuente; Emily and Olivia Green. Other cherished family and friends are Mary and Larry Pugh; Sheila and Kieran McNally; dearest friend Marjory Del Frate and her sister Sr. Bernadette; Doris Sansone; Stanley and Carol Yager; Dr. Go; god-daughters Bernadette and Lynn; and many other loyal friends and neighbors from Valentine Avenue and Briggs Avenue, Bronx, where she lived until very recently. Eileen had lasting friendships with her co-workers at AT&T, where she worked for almost four decades in the old "Ma Belle" days, before her retirement. She has a host of dear cousins, "nearly-cousins," aunts, and uncles, living and deceased here and in Knockanore and Lismore, County Waterford, Ireland. Eileen loved her Irish heritage. She was the family historian and photographer. She enjoyed sending and receiving cards, letters, and photos from friends and family, including the family in Ireland, where she visited and recalled with great fondness. Eileen was a long-term parishioner of Our Lady of Refuge Church and St. Philip Neri Church in the Bronx. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Sr. Leda of St. Patrick's Home in the Bronx, and the wonderful nurses and support staff at Arden House, Hamden, CT. For those wishing to make a donation in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Philip Neri Church, 3025 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY 10468, would be appreciated, or to the charity of your choice. The family has arranged for a memorial garden brick in Eileen's name to be placed at St. Philip Neri Church.
