Eben (Bud) W. Turnure

Eben W. Turnure (Bud) 92, of Valhalla, N.Y. died on May 2, 2013 at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, N.Y. He was born on July 30, 1920 to the late James Harvey and Fannie (nee Gibson) Turnure in White Plains, N.Y. Eben proudly served in the US Coast Guard during WWII and was a 56 year member of the Valhalla Fire Dept. He was a retired quality control mgr. with JP Stevens Textiles in NYC. Eben was predeceased by his devoted wife, Joan (nee Dalrymple) Turnure in 2007 and by his two brothers and is survived by his loving children, Eben A. Turnure of Valhalla, N.Y., Brian Turnure of Hampstead, NC and Joanne Costa of Eastchester, N.Y. also survived by his five cherished grandchildren, Lisa and Jessica Costa and Dan, Taylor and Jennine Turnure. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM where funeral services will be held on Monday, 10 AM. Interment, Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to Calvary Hospital, Bronx, N.Y. would be appreciated.
