Dr. Jack Blane of White Plains died Monday October 24, 2005 he was 97. Dr. Blane was born on September 1, 1908 in New York City to Morris and Fannie Greenberg. He was a graduate of City College and NYU Dental School. After college Dr. Blane served in the US Army as Captain during WWII. He worked as a dentist in the Bronx and Roslyn, NY for 50 years.
He was the loving husband of Mildred Blane, adoring father to Roberta and Steven, cherished grandfather of Pam, Cindy, Erica, Tim and Kevin. He was also the great grandfather of Kim, Max, Kelly, Jesse and Bethany.
Dr. Blane was a member of the Men's Club YMYWHA of Mid-Westchester an avid sportsman and loved tennis.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm October 26, 2005 at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home 2 Maple Avenue at South Broadway White Plains, NY. Interment will be at Sharon Gardens Cemetery Valhalla, NY.
