Dorothy Vasso 93, formerly of Bronx, N.Y. and North White Plains, N.Y. and most recently of Croton on Hudson, N.Y. died on Nov.8, 2017. She was born on March 28, 1924 to the late Alexander and Mary (nee Valenti) Plastino in Bronx, N.Y. Dorothy was a retired Bookkeeper with Williams Bridge Travel, Inc. in Bronx, N.Y. She was affectionately known as “Grammy” to all her family and friends. Dorothy was predeceased by her devoted husband, Henry Vasso in 1982 and brother, Michael Plastino and is survived by her loving daughters, Barbara (William) Miller of Pleasantville, N.Y. and Dorothy (Peter) Day of Hawthorne, N.Y. Also survived by her four cherished grandchildren and six great granddaughters. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Saturday, 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimers Association would be appreciated.
