Dorothy Leute

Mrs. Dorothy Leute passed away peacefully on May 28, 2024 at Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx after battling late onset dementia and an aggressive cancer.

Dorothy Brilli was born and raised in the Eastchester section of the Bronx living on Fish Ave with her Brothers George & Rudy and her older sister Viola. She was an avid Frank Sinatra fan, so much so that she played hooky from school to see Frank Sinatra at a NYC Theatre only to get caught by her Uncle Joe who was at the same show. She met her husband to be at a wedding between her cousin George Petrullo and her yet to be sister-in-law Terry Leute. She married Howard A. Leute on 9/7/1947 and raised 5 Sons.

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband of more than 50 years Howard A Leute Sr., her second son Howard A. Leute Jr. his wife MaryAnne Leute and their son, Howard A. Leute III (Woody) and most recently John A. Leute. She leaves behind Her 1st born son Charles, his wife of more than 50 years Joanna and their 3 sons Chuck, Robert and David and his wife Victoria. Her 4th son Richard Leute, his wife Kimberly and their daughter Emma. Also Her 5th Son Steve, his wife Naiwen and their daughter Michelle. Mrs. Leute also leaves behind great grandchildren Amber Leute and James Leute. Burial will be on June 13 at Gate of Heaven cemetery in Hawthorne NY.
