Dorothy D. Coccaro

Dorothy D. Coccaro, 87, most recently of Ithaca, N.Y. and formerly of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on Sept.27, 2012. She was born on Nov.14, 1924 to the late Vincent and Mary Brown in Florida, N.Y. Dorothy was a retired registered nurse at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y. for over thirty years. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Albert Coccaro in 1997 and is survived by her loving children, Albert (Katie) Coccaro of Bedford, N.Y., Gregory (Marlene) Coccaro of Brewster, N.Y., Douglas of Poughquag, N.Y., Kenneth (Martha) Coccaro of Armonk, N.Y., Audrey (Randall) Lewis of Homer, N.Y. and Ronald (Colleen) Coccaro of Southbury, CT. Also survived by ten cherished grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and two step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vincent (Elenore) and Edward Brown both of Florida, N.Y.; and predeceased by her one sister, Mary Sicina. Dorothy loved to bake, garden, crochet and do crossword puzzles, and contributed generously to many worthy causes. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Monday, 4-8PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Tuesday 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.In lieu of flowers, donations to Kendal at Ithaca Inc. with "Rainy Day Fund" in the memo line would be appreciated.
