Dorothea L. D'Ascanio, 86, of Thornwood and Formerly of Pleasantville, NY, Died July 27, 2005 in Somers Manor Nursing Home, Somers, NY. She was born in Rocca Casale, Italy, April 11, 1919 to Domenico and Vivianna Pizzola. Mrs. D'Ascanio is predeceased by her husband Franco D'Ascanio in 1990. Dorothea is survived by three sons Paul D'Ascanio of Pleasantville, NY, Domenico D'Ascanio of Jupiter, Fla, Dr. Alfredo D'Ascanio of Amawalk, NY, two daughters Rocca Santucci of Oakville, Ontario, Fernanda Wharton of Hawthorne, NY, two sisters Rosalia Manini and Ida Pizzola both of Ontario Canada twelve Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home Thursday 7-9 PM and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Saturday 10 AM Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, NY. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
