Doris A McGraw

Doris A. McGraw a lifelong resident of Elmsford, NY died on Good Friday, March 25, 2016 peacefully at home. Doris was born in Elmsford, NY on March 28, 1929 daughter to the late John and Elizabeth Habermehl. She graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School Class of 1947 and later married James L. McGraw in 1949. Doris and her husband were avid bowlers, she enjoyed traveling and loved life. Along with her beloved husband of 67 years Doris is survived by her six children, Cheryl (Douglas) Dean, James J. (Debbie) McGraw, John (Laurel) McGraw, Candice (Dennis) Percopo, Jill (John) Malone and Scott (Jenifer) McGraw. Her 22 cherished grandchildren survive her as well as 8 adoring great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Doris is predeceased by her brother John “Buddy” Habermehl and her sister Elizabeth “Betty” Garofano. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Elmsford. Friends may call on Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 72 East Main Street, Elmsford, NY. Entombment will follow in the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
