Donna Fredican Fiebich, our dear and beloved Mother/Sister/Grandmother/Aunt passed on June 23rd, 2017 after a courageous fight. She deserves to eternally rest in peace. She leaves behind two children, Ursula Fiebich-Klaus mother of two, Sonya and Michael, and Joachim Fiebich and wife Shelly who have two children, Thomas and Casey. Her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life Born to Helen and Frank Fredican in Cokeburg, Pennslyvania, with an older sister Frances, followed by their brother, Joseph. The family moved to New York City where she was educated, attending St. Stephen's Elementary School, Cathedral High School and received a baccalaureate degree from Hunter College. Her strong administrative and people skills won her accolades in her work, in particular in a Human Resources position from which she retired. She was an avid reader, had an eye for creating home décor and a skillful hand at sketching. She has been an inspiration to all who knew her with her courage and positive attitude while handling a terminal disease. As she helped so many people, she too was helped through her journey by family, friends, and health professionals. We wish to thank everyone who supported and encouraged her, each one has contributed to making her the loving, gracious person we mourn. Calling hours will be held at the Hawthorne Funeral Home 21 W. Stevens Ave. Hawthorne, NY on July 13th, 3 pm - 5pm with a memorial service to begin at 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Briarcliff Public Library, the American Cancer Society for patient transportation or the Rosary Hill hospice home.
