Donald J. Guarnieri

Donald J. Guarnieri 84, of White Plains and formerly of North White Plains and Elmsford, N.Y. died suddenly on May 6,2017. He was born on August 29,1932 to the late Nazario and Theresa (nee Rescigno) Guarnieri in Elmsford, N.Y. He was a graduate of Iona College Class of 1954. He served proudly in the US Army from 1954-1956. Donald was a self employed CPA in the Westchester County Area. He was a dedicated parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla where he served on the Parish Council, was a lecturer, worked Bingo, a member of the Holy Name Society and taught CCD. Donald was one of the founding members of the American-Italian Club of Elmsford. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Carmela (nee Girvalo) Guarnieri in 2010 and one deceased brother, Carmen Guarnieri  and is survived by his loving children, Donald J.,Jr. of Calif., John L. (Elizabeth) of Ossining, N.Y., Peter J. of Elmira, N.Y., Louis P. (Diane) of Thornwood, N.Y. and Theresa (Steve) Morzello of Carmel, N.Y. also survived by his five cherished grandchildren, Anthony, Thomas, Angelina, James and Isabelle. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday, 5-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Wednesday, 10 AM. Interment, Mt.Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, N.Y.
