Donald A. Gray

Donald A. Gray 82, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on July 24, 2009 at Northern Westchester Hospital Center in Mt.Kisco, N.Y. He was born on January 21, 1927 to the late John and Sarah (nee Thorton) Gray in NYC. Donald served proudly in the US Navy during WW11. He was retired Chief of Police with the Village of Scarsdale Police Dept. Retiring in the early 1970's. He is survived by his devoted wife Joan (nee Hollahan) Gray, his loving children; Donald Gray and his wife Kathleen of Montrose, N.Y. Brian Gray of Danbury, Conn. Michael Gray and his wife Theresa of Hawthorne, N.Y. Timothy Gray and his wife Karli of Bethel, Conn. Christopher Gray and his wife Eileen of Yonkers, N.Y. and Deborah Beck and her husband Henry of Mahopac, N.Y. Also survived by 12 cherished grandchildren. Predeceased by 1 brother John Gray and 1 sister Sr. Margaret Gray. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday 5-9 PM. Funeral Mass Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Monday 11 AM. Interment Private.
