Donald W. Froude

Donald W. Froude 84, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on Dec.8, 2015. He was born on April 27, 1932 to the late William and Astrid Froude in NYC. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Donald was a retired Electrical Engineer with NY Telephone in NYC. He was a member of the Mt.Pleasant School Board (1974-1986) Cub and Boy Scouts of America (1972-1977) Town of Mt.Pleasant Board of Assessment, and Elder at Hawthorne Reformed Church, Mt.Pleasant Sportsmans Club and Mt.Pleasant Rotary Club and was also an avid Hand Radio Operator. He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara (nee Zorn) Froude of Hawthorne, N.Y. and by his loving children, Connie (Steve) Ruland of Hopewell Jct., N.Y. and Bill (Margie Stoneman) Froude of Marietta, GA. Also survived by his four cherished grandchildren, Cate and Stephen Ruland and Josh and Zach Stoneman. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday and Thursday 5-9 PM. Funeral Services, Hawthorne Reformed Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Friday, 12 Noon. Interment, Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y.
