Domenick Mastromonaco, a long time Greenburgh resident, passed away at the age of 95 on March 19, 2017.  Domenick was born in Campobasso, Italy on June 25, 1921 to Angelo Ralph and Nancy (DeFabbio) Mastromonaco and came to the United States when he was 8 years old. He is survived by his devoted wife of 71 years, Ann (Foglia) Mastromonaco, his five loving children, Ralph (Barbara), Randy (Lydia), Janice (John) Kehrli, MaryJo (Michael) Barr, Martin (Lisa), 10 cherished grandchildren and 4 adored great grandchildren, his sister Ann D'Angelo, dear in-laws, nieces and nephews. Domenick is predeceased by 3 brothers, Frank, Nick, and Joe and two sisters, Beatrice and Lucy.  Domenick was a World War II veteran as a proud member of the 90th Division of the US Army for three years and he fought during the D-Day Normandy invasion.  He owned and operated a general contracting business and built many houses throughout Westchester in his long career.  In his retirement he enjoyed working around the home he built and tending to his vegetable and flower gardens. Dom was dedicated to his wife, Ann, and his loving family.  He cherished his time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial wake, Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla NY on Friday at 10 AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to either the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, White Plains Hospital or another charity of your choice.
