Dianna Ford

Dianna (Basile) Ford (77) of Clearwater, Florida, passed away surrounded by her family at Danbury Hospital, Danbury, CT. Dianna was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1939. She married the love of her life, Joseph Ford in 1957. After living in Brooklyn, NY, they moved to New Fairfield, CT, later retiring to Florida.
She is the daughter of Helen (Broirdy) and John Basile. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother John and sister Margie.
Dianna is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph John Ford, retired FDNY, her 4 children - Karen Morris (Tom), Thomas (Sharon), Joseph, and Michael (Kathleen), her 12 grandchildren - Laura, Megan, Thomas, Kayla, TJ, Rachel, Joseph, Keri, Colin, Liam, Aidan and Kelly, her 2 great-grandchildren - Hailey and Ava, her brother Robert Basile, sister-in-laws Phyllis and Jeanne, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dianna was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Dedicated to her family, she was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and cousin.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Edward the Confessor Parish, New Fairfield, CT on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11 am. St. Peter’s Cemetery, Danbury, CT to follow. Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, White Plains, NY in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory can be made in Dianna’s name to the charity of one's choice.
