Diane M. Einhorn-Colish died on December 8, 2016 after a short illness. She leaves her husband of 41 years William Colish, her son Daniel (Faith) and her daughter Stefanie (Harry) as well as three grandchildren. She also leaves her brother Eric (Kirsten) and their family as well as many loving cousins, extended family and dear friends. Diane was born in 1945 and grew up in Larchmont, NY. After early graduation from Mamaroneck High School she earned her B.A. with honors at the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated in 1972 from New York University Law School and became an associate with Willkie, Farr and Gallagher in NYC. Diane became counsel with Playtex in 1977. Diane developed a specialty in national and international trademark law and followed Playtex through numerous corporate merges finally retiring from Hanes Brands in 2006. She then became “of counsel” with Ohlandt, Greeley, Ruggiero and Perle in Stamford, CT until her death. Diane was an exemplar of the modern generation of professional women who were able to combine family, career, friends and community with aplomb. She resided for 40 years in Harrison, NY and was active in school, community, and religious organizations. Struck down before her time, her passing will leave a deep void for her family, community, and legal associates. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nature Conservancy.
