Denise Marie Stone

DENISE MARIE STONE of New Rochelle, NY and formerly of Valhalla, N.Y.  gained her wings on February 17, 2021.  Born at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital on May 31, 1958, to Patricia and Kenneth H. Stone, Sr.  Denise grew up in Valhalla, graduated Valhalla High School, then became a License Practical Nurse.  Denise worked at White Plains Hospital as well as private doctor offices.  Denise was very passionate about her nursing career and brought much compassion, comfort and healing to her patients.

Family was the center of her life.   Her grandchildren were a constant ray of light and happiness.

Denise is survived by her seven siblings, Lisa, Sharon, Kenny (Aileen), Tim (Beth), Patti (Phillip), Murph (Cindy), Kristin (John) her two daughters, Danielle Fragoso (Vincent) and Kelly Pappas (Keith), 4 grandchildren, Vinnie, Joey, Carson and Olivia, and a tribe of nieces and nephews.   She is predeceased by her parents Pat and Ken Stone Sr. and nephew Robert.

Visiting at Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm.  Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Wednesday, 10am, followed by interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Cancer Society.
