Demetrio A. Surace

Demetrio A. Surace 90, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family on Sept.14, 2016. He was born on May 7, 1926 to the late Paul and Nancy Surace in White Plains, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a retired Carpenter in the Westchester Area. He was an avid sportsman and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Sportsmans Club. Demetrio is survived by his devoted wife, Mary (nee Rocco) Surace of Hawthorne, N.Y. and by his loving daughters, Valerie (Robert) Weinstein of White Plains, N.Y. and Nancy (Terry) Durfy of Hawthorne, N.Y. two brothers, Dominick (Josephine) Surace of Pleasantville, N.Y. and Thomas (Marie) Surace of Hawthorne, N.Y. two deceased sisters, Katherine Leogrande and Frances Spano. Also survived by his five cherished grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral Services were held privately. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St.Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis, Tenn. would be appreciated.
