David B. Zaglauer

David B. Zaglauer, a longtime resident of Hawthorne, passed away on February 26, 2025, at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, at the age of 76. He was born in Mount Vernon, NY, on March 7, 1948, to the late Frank and Pearl Zaglauer. His brother, Brother Francis Zaglauer, FMS predeceased him. 

On October 8, 1977, he married the love of his life, Nancy Gill, who survives him. Dave worked as a civil/ bridge engineer for the New York State Thruway Authority in Tarrytown and Suffern, New York, until his retirement in 2010. He enjoyed traveling, telling jokes, and spending time with friends and family.

Along with his beloved wife of 47 years, Nancy; Dave is survived by his two children, David Zaglauer and his wife Claire Berger, and Laura Bennett and her husband Michael Bennett; as well as his five beautiful grandchildren: Louisa, Liam, Luc, Leo, and Mya.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Friday, February 28, from 3 to 7 PM at the Hawthorne Funeral Home, located at 21 W. Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY. A mass to honor his life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Holy Rosary Church, 170 Bradhurst Avenue, Hawthorne, New York.
