David Busing, architect, passed away peacefully at home in Hartsdale in the care of his beloved wife Joan and family on October 29th after a valiant battle with cancer. David was a graduate of Choate, Brown, and Harvard, with a post graduate degree in Architecture. No one embodied the passion of architecture more than David Busing. He created beautiful buildings, homes, and public spaces, a wonderful marriage, beloved children, enduring friendships, and a lifetime given form by an exceptional mind, an exceptional heart, and a tireless love of life and work. His achievements are visible and lasting places and memories that are a joy to dwell in. He is the founder of the architectural firm Busing and Associates in White Plains. David is survived by his wife Joan, his children Christopher, Sarah (Bruce), Katie, and Timothy, his step children Tom (Karin) and Nora (Kenny), eight cherished grandchildren and his faithful dog Jackson. David once observed that "words are missed and small things forgotten but our eye narrows to sharp focus and we see detail clearly. It is enough to be spoiled by each morning and day, ageless in sunshine.." David will be deeply missed by all those with whom he shared his life. A memorial service will be announced shortly.
