Cristobal C. Castellanos of the Bronx, New York died o n Friday, September 13, 2019, at the age of 77. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Cristobal was born in Castillo, Dominican Republic on October 12, 1941, where he bloomed into a free-spirited young man. He arrived in New York City in 1962 where he spread his wings and first formed his family. Throughout the years and life between the U.S. and the Dominican Republic, he worked tirelessly and formed different types of businesses.
He is best known for his jovial, infectious, resilient, enduring spirit; his drawings and paintings, and his fantastic cooking.
He was a devout Catholic and was very active in his church and community, and volunteered at a local prison for men, offering spiritual counsel. He was well-loved and respected for his generous and compassionate heart.
He is survived by his children, Rosalba, Christopher, Carlos, Carmen, and Ramon; his grandchildren, Massiel, Ivy, Oliver, Declan, Kiernan, Liana and Sebastian; and his great-granddaughters, Anayah and Gabriella; his beloved sisters and brothers and friends.
The viewing will be held on September 17th at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home in White Plains, NY from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on September 18th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in White Plains, NY at 10:00 AM.
