Clifford G. Brody

April 10, 1957 — January 21, 2019

Ambler, PA / NYC

Clifford G. Brody died peacefully at age 61 on Monday, January 21, 2019 with his wife and daughter by his side holding his hands. A native New Yorker, Cliff moved to Pennsylvania, ultimately settling with his wife in Ambler to raise their daughter. An expert in education and communication for the financial services industry, Cliff co-founded The Edcomm Group Bankers Academy and later Global Bankers Institute for training, consulting, and business modeling for the international banking community. Cliff was an avid athlete, excelling in soccer, tennis, swimming, basketball, and frisbee. He loved music and had an encyclopedic knowledge of song lyrics. He found great joy in nature: bird watching; building a beautiful garden, gazebo and pond; and vacationing at the beach in Cape Cod. He was invigorated by a good debate about pretty much anything, and had much fun brilliantly winning almanac trivia contests. Above all, Cliff loved spending time with his wife and daughter. He was the devoted husband of Dr. Jody A Dantzig-Brody and the adoring father of Eliza Morgan Brody. Cliff is also survived by his dear brother Reed K. Brody, and by his gentle and doting mother Doris “Prettynka” Brody. His beloved father was the late Dr. Ervin C. Brody. Cliff cherished and was cherished by his extended family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 27th at 11AM at the Hawthorne Funeral Home at 21 West Stevens Avenue in Hawthorne, New York followed by burial at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
