Clarence B. Michell Jr. passed away on May 15, 2012, after a battle with cancer. "Mickey"� as his friends knew him was 78 years old. Mickey is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn and his four children; Gary, Wendy, Glenn and Gregg. He is also survived by his younger brother Arthur Michell. He leaves behind eight grandchildren who were his pride and joy and many nieces and nephews. As a lifelong resident of White Plains, Mickey was very involved with many organizations. He served as Scout Master for Troop II of Battle Hill for nearly 20 years and attended Camp Read many times. Mr. Michell coached Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball for 20 years as well. In 1971 he was awarded "Coach of the Year"� for helping to make the program a success. Many of his boys still refer to him as "Coach"�. He played fast pitch and slow pitch softball in White Plains for Sand Springs for over 50 years. Mickey was an Electrician and member of Local 501 and 3 of the IBEW. After retiring he continued to work as a Ranger/Starter at Maplemore and Saxon Woods Golf Courses. In lieu of flowers, a donation to any Cancer Charity would be appreciated.
