Claire Davies was born on November 2, 1929 on the Lower East Side in New York City. She lived most of her life in Port Jefferson Station, NY and spent the last three years in White Plains, New York. For many years, she wintered in Boca Raton, Florida. Claire loved her family and was especially devoted to her grandsons Adam, Brett, Parker, and Brennen; her children and their spouses, Irwin and Denise, Robin and Adam, and Sue and Reggie; her nephews Joseph and his spouse Emily and Michael and his spouse Susan; and her great-nephew and great-niece Jude and Mara.
Claire was a world traveler and visited more than 25 countries, including China, India, Israel. She loved Africa. She passed on her curiosity about the world to her grandsons. Claire cared about the world, poverty, Jewish causes and homelessness. She wanted very much to see a better world for her grandsons.
Claire passed away in her sleep on June 23, 2020. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, four grandchildren, 2 nephews and their spouses and a grandniece and nephew. Claire loved and was pre-deceased by her husband Paul Davies, her brother Samuel Erdman and sister Rose (Zelda) Erdman.
