Cielo Raquel Moscoso

Cielo Raquel was born May 17, 1935 to Ecuadorian parents Carlos Moscoso and Raquel Peralta. She was raised in Quito, Ecuador, and married Galo Castellanos; shortly after they moved to the US. She would often say she fell in love with New York from the first day she arrived. She passed away June 29, 2020, in her home in White Plains after a long battle with Parkinson's. She is survived by her two children Mariasol and Mauricio.

Though Cielo Raquel's health was failing for years, her joy for life, indomitable spirit and the love and care of those around her, kept her pushing through her crippling illness.

Most of all she was a woman of great faith that loved God, her family and friends and instilled in her children strong values by her Christian example. She will be dearly missed but forever live in our hearts.
