Charles Angelo Pansarasa, 94, of Pompton Plains, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2025. Charles was born in Staten Island, NY in 1931 to Charles and Dina Pansarasa. Charles met his late wife Muriel Louise in Curtis High School. After an early stint in the Merchant Marines he went on to have a long career as an electrical engineer with ITT.
He is survived by his four children and their families; Thomas; Chris and her husband Bob; Cori and her husband Chris; and James and his wife Laura. He has two grandchildren, Ashley and her family, Sal, Tory and Ryan; and Jeremiah and Julene. He is predeceased by his sisters Elaine and Diana; and his granddaughters Gwendolyn and Isabella. He will be missed by cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Charles was an avid gardener and believed in organic farming and recycling even before it became popular. He enjoying bowling and golfing. He was known for his love of taking long walks which he did daily up until the very last months of his life. When Charlie moved to the Cedar Crest Retirement Village he became well known there for bringing a new joke to the dining room every night.
