Celeste, Marie Bernard-Lovett (Pedgie) was born on 18 September, 1965 in Yonkers, New York at Yonkers General Hospital to her father Benjamin Gustave Bernard and her mother Brenda Joyce Bernard.

Raised in Yonkers, Celeste graduated from Yonkers High School and pursued her passion for beauty at Robert Fiance Beauty School in the Bronx, New York. 

Celeste’s career included serving as an Assistant Art Teacher at Hawthorne Cedar Knolls and working part-time at Creative Fingers Hair Salon. 

Celeste’s diverse interests encompassed singing, crafting, sewing, sculpture, design, fashion, make-up, and various forms of Artistic creativity. She was also inspired by nature and astronomy. 

Celeste was a private person with a calm demeanor, however she was a fierce and passionate defender for her family and for the underdog (those treated unfairly) or the underprivileged. She was also a true trendsetter and trailblazer who was known for her prophetic gifts and her deep spiritual connection with the universe. Celeste was a beautiful person both inside and out. 

Celeste was also a woman of Faith that trusted God through life’s situations and circumstances. She would always say, “You gotta have Faith, You just gotta have Faith!”

Celeste, Marie Bernard-Lovett (Pedgie) leaves to cherish her memory: Her father: Benjamin Gustave Bernard; Her four Children: Toyishia Marie Bernard, Malki Benjamin Lovett, Jacob John Bernard, and Naiya Odessa Bernard; Her six Grandchildren: Isaiah Alex King, Naylin Marie Lovett, Elijah Bernard-Lovett, Isabel Nadine Lovett, Noah Bernard and Mariah Rose Mellor; Her two Sisters and one Brother: Michelle Ruth Bernard, Ruth Bernard Faciane and Benjamin Gustave Bernard Jr.; Her four Nephews and three Nieces: Briana Bernard, Clinton Ball III, Destiny Bernard, Micah Michelle Faciane, Serenity Bernard, Michael Faciane Jr., and Benjamin Bernard III; 

CELESTE (PEDGIE), BERNARD-LOVETT’s memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her.
