Cecilia Pyrch

Cecilia Harmonay Pyrch of White Plains, NY died peacefully on November 15, 2009 surrounded by her devoted children. She was born in Yonkers, NY on January 27, 1926 to Michael and Mary Catherine (Gonda) Harmonay . She was pre-deceased by her husband of 50 years Theodore J. Pyrch and eight siblings. She is survived by her twin sister Elizabeth "Betty" Sheeky of New Rochelle, her brother Richard M. Harmonay of Greenwich, CT, four children Maryann and her husband John Martin of White Plains, Thomas of White Plains, Paul and his wife Lori of Buchanan, William of Ossining and many nieces and nephews. Known affectionately as "Granny" to the many neighborhood children who visited to enjoy stories read to them with her gentle kindness. Celie was very proud of her five grandchildren Megan and John "JJ" Martin and Kaylie, Kristen, and Kevin Pyrch. She spent her life devoted to her family for which they are eternally grateful.
