Carol Stein

Carol M. Stein, a resident of New Haven, died on December 21, 2011. She was 78.

Mrs. Stein was born on September 13, 1933 in Ossining to the late Daniel and Dorothy (Casley) Morgan. For many years before her retirement she worked as a registered nurse at Cornell Medical Center in New York City, was a Nursing Supervisor at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Tarrytown, and was the Assistant Director of Nursing at NY Hospital Westchester Division. She enjoyed spending time at her vacation home in Vermont and loved children.

She is survived by her three sons, Carl Hart, Dr. Louis Stein, Jr., and Curt Hart; her four grandchildren, Jessica, Taylor Ann, Ashley, and Max; and her sister, Mary Daddazzo. She was pre-deceased by her husband Dr. Louis Henry Stein, Sr. in 1999.

Visiting Friday 11am to 1pm, with a service at 1pm, at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave, White Plains. Entombment at Kensico Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to the Mary Wade Home, 118 Clinton Ave, New Haven, CT 06513.
