Carmela A. Russo

Carmela A. Russo 99, of White Plains, N.Y. died on June 10, 2018 at her residence. She was born on August 15, 1918 to the late Aniello and Louisa (nee Volini) Aquino in NYC. She is a retired Internal Auditor with the White Plains Board of Education. Carmela was predeceased by her devoted husband, Michael A. Russo in 1986 and is survived by her loving children, Michael (Pamela) Russo of Wolcott, CT,  John Russo of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Louise (Donald) Kane of Katonah, N.Y. and Eleanor (Anthony) Gisondi of Valhalla, N.Y. also survived by her eight cherished grandchildren, Melissa Russo (lifetime partner Darryl), Christopher (Shayna) Russo, Anthony (DiAnna) Gisondi, Nicholas, James and Christian Gisondi , Nicole and Michael Kane and her six great grandchildren, Tyler, Kiernan, Declan Russo, Darryl, Dylan and Donovan. Predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday, 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Wednesday, 10 AM. Interment, White Plains Rural Cemetery, White Plains, N.Y.
