Carmela A. (Millie) Guarnieri 74, of White Plains, N.Y. died on June 30, 2010 at White Plains Hospital Center. She was born on May 20, 1936 to the late Louis and Marianina (nee Del Regno) Girvalo in Ossining, N.Y. She graduated from the Ossining School System. Millie and her husband Don were very active parishioners of Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla, N.Y. Millie was past president and treasurer of the Rosary Altar Society and a member for over forty years. She taught religious education when her children were attending schools. Millie was loved by all who knew her, she was a very special person who dedicated her life to her God, her church, her family and her friends. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. Millie is survived by her devoted husband Donald J. Guarnieri of White Plains, N.Y. They would have been married fifty years on Sept.11, 2010. She is also survived by her loving children Donald Jr. of White Plains, N.Y. John and his wife Elizabeth of Ossining, N.Y. Peter and his wife Terri of Elmira, N.Y. Louis and his wife Diane of Thornwood, N.Y. and Theresa Morzello and her husband Steve of Carmel, N.Y. Also survived by her five cherished grandchildren Anthony, Thomas, Angelina, James and Isabelle Guarnieri. Predeceased by her four brothers and two sisters. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Thursday (today) 5-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Friday 12:30 PM. Interment, Mt.Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to American Cancer Society, or Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, NY Rosary Altar Society.
