On Saturday, August 31, 2019, Millie Cecere, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at age 89.
Millie was born on March 31, 1930 in New York, New York to Vincent and Lucy Sepe. She grew up on Villa Avenue in the Bronx, New York and was the eldest of her 7 sisters and brothers. On November 25, 1950 she married the love of her life, John Joseph Cecere. They were married for 52 years when John passed away. They raised two children, Anthony and Susan in New York on Long Island.
Millie was known for her infectious smile and laughter. She was a devoted Catholic and had an amazing relationship with God and the most incredible faith. She loved family and friends and was proud to be a mother and wife. Her greatest passion was cleaning and cooking. She is known by all who loved and knew her for the most delicious eggplant!!
Millie is survived by her loving children, Anthony and Donna, Susan and Jay. Grandchildren, John, Kristyn, Michael, Kaitlyn, Breanne, Alesha and Nick. Great Grandchildren, Jason, Madison, Jaxon and Hazel. Flowers can be sent to Ballard-Durand Funeral Home. If you wish donations to The Alzheimer's Association can be made.
