Carmela Cannella

Carmela Cannella, 82, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Myrtle Beach Estates. She was born April 6, 1935 in Corleone Palermo, Italy, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Biaggia Saporito DiPuma. In addition to her parents Mrs. Cannella was preceded by one brother, Nicola DiPuma, and one sister, Lucia Profita. Carmela was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. Carmela, in her younger years loved to dance. She was a Lady that always enjoyed cooking and providing for her family. Mrs. Cannella is survived by her husband, John Cannella, three sons, Anthony Cannella (Mary Ellen), Joseph Cannella (Alison) and Sal Cannella (Laura), one daughter Lucy Neve (Frank), one sister, Josephine DiPalermo, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many other family and friends who will miss her dearly. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday October 26, 2017 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 52 East Main Street, Elmsford, NY 10523. Entombment will follow at The Rosewood Mausoleum in Ferncliff Cemetery.
