Camille Biancardi, 81, (Mela to her family), of Greenburgh, died on July 31, 2006, from complications of Alzheimer's disease. Camille was born on March 22, 1925 in New York City to Vincent and Josephine (Iulo) Biancardi. Camille attended the Greenburgh Schools and graduated Magna Cum Laude of Good Counsel College of 'White Plains. Camille was a resident of Parkway Gardens for over 70 years and worked for the Town of Greenburgh as secretary to the Head of the Department of Public Works, secretary to the Town Supervisor and also to the Police Chief, Camille spent a lot of her time volunteering. She loved to sing and play piano. She entertained at Veterans Hospitals, Kiwanis Clubs shows and at many community services. Camille was also involved in local politics. She was President of the Italian Womens Club of White Plains, Greenburgh Republican-Womens 'Club and the Sleepy Hollow * Leisure Club. She was secretary for the Town of Greenburgh Republican Club, New York State Boxing Commission and Boys Town of Italy. Camille was also Treasure of the Alvin Suchin Republican Club. She also ran for Town Council. Aside from her interest in politics, Camille enjoyed her family, music and sports. Surviving are her sister Rita Kopick of Greenburgh One niece Dr. Maria Kopicki, of Amherst, MA, one nephew Vincent Kopicki (Michelle) of Valhalla, NY. She was devoted to her grand nephews, Erik, Frank and Steven Kopicki all of Valhalla, NY. Predeceased by her brother-in-law Frank Kopicki.. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home Wednesday 4 - 8 PM.
