Burnette H. Dinkin

April 25, 1941 — November 29, 2021

Chantilly, VA

Burnette “Bonnie” Dinkin (Harris)

Bonnie Dinkin (80) of Chantilly, VA passed away Monday, November 29, 2021, at Reston Hospital in Reston, VA.  Proceeded in death by her parents Bernie and Rose Harris, sister Lynne Feldman, and son-in-law Howie Liebowitz. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Jerry Dinkin; her son Art Dinkin of Clive, IA, daughter-in-law Christina, and their three children Hayden, Cassidy, and Kenzie; and her daughter Denise Liebowitz of Thornwood, NY and her three children Julia, Ryan, and Gregory.

Bonnie Harris was born April 25, 1941, and raised in Wilkes-Barre, PA. While living as a young woman in New York City, she met and later married Jerry Dinkin.  Together they lived in four states before settling in Northern VA 33 years ago.  No matter the location, it was always important to Bonnie to be an active member of the Jewish community, working tirelessly as a volunteer.

Growing up listening to NY Mets games on the radio with her father, she was an avid sports fan. After moving to the area, Bonnie loved cheering for all the Washington sports franchises (Nationals, Washington Football Team, Wizards, and Capitals).  However, her favorite events to watch were when her grandchildren were swimming, playing football, playing baseball, or performing on stage.  She was extremely proud of all six of her grandchildren, always her favorite topics of conversation.
