A big man with big jokes
COOK, Bryan Lee (BeeCee) 49 was born in Greenburgh, New York on June 24, 1961 and died suddenly on July 2, 2010. Bryan was the son of Paralee and Charles Cook. Bryan was raised and educated in Greenburgh. He received his Professional Security degree from the Institute of Security Technology in Pennyslvania. BeeCee was everybody's best friend. He set high standards for himself and everyone around him. Many times, he would tell you how to live your life if he thought his way was better for you. He had high expectations for the people he cared about but most of them had to do with taking care of self and family. If money determined success, that did not describe BeeCee. But if a "Big Heart" describes success , that certainly describes our Bryan.
He was a man with a gruff voice, the kindest heart and the most generous spirit. He wanted to help people and he did. Bee was so generous and loyal that if someone needed something and he could provide it, it was done. BeeCee always lived his life his way, as the good guy or the bad boy; either way, he never apologized for who he was. He lived on the edge and loved it. And, he had a story for everything. He always talked about his business, could talk for hours about his visions or the "get rich quick" schemes that he could conjure up. Bryan was a funny person with a dry sense of humor. He had a joke about everything, and many times they were about the very people he was with. There are many words that describe "BC": strong, brave, funny, generous, kind, caring, crazy. He had talents too; photography, carpentry, design, dog breeding, security consultants. Most of all BC was a storyteller and a joker.
Anyone that knew BeeCee, knew his obsession with dogs. He loved to raise them, to breed them, and to talk to anyone that would listen about them. People always called him for his "expert" advice on dogs. . Bryan is survived by his parents, his sisters and brothers, Anita and Felton Gholston, Katherine and John Graham and Marc and Paula Cook, Woody Pascal, nieces and nephews Benjamin, Malcolm, Avery, Maya, Kenny, Olivia, Jeremiah, Marc ,Jaida , and AJ. His aunts, June Castleberry, Glenda Blake, Cora Jackson, Mary Castleberry, Mildred Storms and Corrine Harris; uncle Payton Cook; his cousins, Delores, Debra, Duane and Yesenia, Nikki, Roderick, Sebastyan and a host of other relatives and friends; "best friend "Steve Harris," brother" Douglas Hayes and "main man" Al Gatewood. Bryan returned to church after many years and became a part of the Christian community. He loved church and his church family.
