Betty B. Librett

Betty Burton Librett 75, of Palm Beach Gardens Fla. and formerly of Calabash, NC and New Rochelle, N.Y. died on August 24, 2011 after a long battle with COPD. Survived by her devastated husband, Arthur; sons Michael Kropp of Huntsville, AL and William Kropp of Asheville, NC; stepsons Mitchell (Carol) Librett of Duxbury, MA and Steven Librett of New Rochelle, N.Y. one sister, Patricia Burton Kushnik Also survived by her cherished grandchildren; Michael, Krista and Cari Librett; Robert and Clarissa Kropp. Born on September 12, 1935, Betty attended New Rochelle Schools, graduating from NRHS in 1953. Her first marriage to Guion Kropp of Chattanooga, TN ended in divorce and she married the love of her life, Arthur, in August, 1977. After retirement from the family hardware business in 1995 they moved to Calabash, NC and then to Florida in 2001. Graveside Services will be held at the Mt. Eden Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Wednesday, 1:30 PM.
