Bernard Rotmil, a resident of Hartsdale, New York, died on Sunday, June 20th at age 83. Born in Strasbourg, France, and orphaned during World War II, both he and his younger brother Charles were hidden from the Nazis by Father Bruno Reynders in Brussels, Belgium. Bernard came to the United States in 1946 as a teenager. He went on to become an honors student at Peekskill high school, and a graduate of New York University's Stern School of Business. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Bernard was a lifelong IBM manager, a talented sculptor, and writer. Bernard is pre-deceased by his wife Ana Schrebrenik Rotmil, his mother Dora, his sister Henriette and his father Adolphe. He leaves behind his daughter Debra Rotmil of Manhattan, his brother Charles of Portland, Maine, nephews Eric, Adam and nieces Colette and Michele.
