Bernie Lipsky was born in the Bronx to Morris and Rae Polonsky Lipsky on February 26, 1929. He passed away just short of his 95th birthday.
One of the questions Bernie would always ask of a person he met from the Bronx was "what high school did you go to?" That immediately opened the door to an instant friendship and easy conversation. He graduated from Monroe high school in the Bronx, City College in Manhattan and the Chicago school of Optometry. He was a story teller and great listener. His sense of humor was ever present. Anyone who knew Bernie, if they closed their eyes and thought of Bernie, they would immediately see his smile.
He is survived by his wife Cathy, daughters Jody Lipsky and Wendy Lipsky, step children Jason Costanzo and Nicole Costanzo, grandchildren Emma Lipsky, Elijah Edmonds, Grayson and Mia Costanzo, brother Lester Lipsky nephews Ian Lipsky and Eric Lipsky and their children.
Bernie was the best NY Giants fan and if you were to hear his stories you would have thought he actually played for the team. (and at times so did he!)
