Barbara B. Mahon 67, of White Plains, N.Y. died suddenly and peacefully on October 26, 2008 at her residence. She was born on June 16, 1941 to the late Columba and Margaret MacMenamin in NYC. Barbara loved every minute she lived and was a true maverick. She was involved in Holy Name of Jesus Parish Social concerns, volunteered at the American Red Cross, gathered clothes for Sister Alice, hosted baby showers for birthright, organized the Do'ers for MS Walkathon, was a member of the Granada Board, and participated in numerous Midnight Runs and volunteered at Camp Sunshine. Barbara is survived by her three brothers, Brian, Dennis (Ana) and Michael (Karen) MacMenamin. Her five nephews , Tim, Jason, Aaron, Michael and Joseph MacMenamin. And her two nieces, Belinda (Tom) Baum and Lindsay MacMenamin. Also survived by her extended MacMenamin and Englert families and close relatives in New York, Florida, Vermont and Virginia, and countless others that were blessed by her friendship and love. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of the Resurrection, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Thursday 10 AM. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery, Danbury, Conn. In Lieu of flowers donations to Holy Name of Jesus Social Concerns to be further distributed to Barbara's favorite chartites; Grace Community Church, Camp Sunshine, Divine Compassion Spirituality Center, H.E.R.O.E.S. and Birthright.
