Augusta ( Gus ) Rosenberg

Augusta (Gus) Rosenberg 90, a resident of the Brandywine Nursing Home in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. and formerly of Central Valley and Hartsdale, N.Y. died peacefully on November 25, 2009. She was the widow of Herbert (Bert) Rosenberg who past away Oct.21, 2007. Augusta was the youngest of 5 children, 1 sister and 3 brothers who all predeceased her. Survivors include her daughter, Janet Weissman of Highland Mills, N.Y. a son, Robert Rosenberg and his wife Diane of New Fairfield, Ct. ; 4 grandchildren; Ross Weissman and his wife Francesca of Purchase, N.Y., Julie Miyasato of Mill Valley, Ca., Rabbi Jason Rosenberg and his wife Hillary of Tampa, Fla. and Jill Gallagher and her husband Bill of Seattle, WA. 7 great grandchildren; Sofia Weissman, Bowen and Wyatt Miyasato, Benjamin and Talia Rosenberg and Jacob and Duncan Gallagher and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday 11 AM. Interment, Mt.Eden Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. Shiva will be observed at the home of Janet Weissman 30 Sycamore Ct. Highland Mills, N.Y. Sunday thru Thurs. 8:30 PM. and at the home of Robert Rosenberg 48 Fleetwood Drive, New Fairfield, Ct. on Monday Nov. 30 8:30 PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Monroe Temple 314 North Main Street Monroe, N.Y. 10950.
